Well, my fears about Power Girl in the New 52 were half-right because there were two artists in this book and one got it wrong. You see, I recently picked up ‘Worlds’ Finest #1’, DC comics’ new title featuring Power Girl and the Huntress.
Now before I begin, this…
Real breasts, of any size, real or fake, are not hard to draw. Knowing which to do for what character may be tougher, but not that much tougher. I guess I draw them so much I’m used to it.
…I like where this is going…too bad it’s a DC comic, so I know it won’t go there really.

Dear DC Comics: a letter from a female fan about being sexy
remybannach:
Dear DC Comics,
Hi. Let me start off by saying that I absolutely adore you. While I originally favored Marvel comics, in the last few years you’ve really won me over and I cannot say I prefer one over the other. And also let me say that you have some really fun artists drawing for you. Like Adam Hughes; he is one of my favorites and constantly draws beautiful, breathtaking women.

That is stunning.
And when I heard about the New 52 reboot, though skeptical, I was more than willing to read along and see what happened. All in all, I can’t say that I’m unhappy about the reboot. Of course it has its issues, but nothing worth me getting up in arms about. However….there is one little problem I have. Actually, it’s kind of a major problem.
I don’t think you know what it means for a woman to be sexy.

I agree with the article. DC is trying to make porn for teenagers in an attempt to, what, pull in teenage boys? Isn’t that the main group of people who are going to acquire comics anyways? I know I did in high school, and the tits were only part of it (to be fair, I did really get into comics in the 90s during the bad girl period). It’s just, why do this with everything? You could have the one “sexy porn girl” and all the other female characters are more normal and non-sexy -porn.

With the new reveal of Power Girl’s Supreme-style costume, I felt somebody had to speak out.
I’ll admit I loled pretty loud at “built like the coney island cyclone” line.
And here’s the cover of Worlds’ Finest #1

Looks like Power Girl loses her boob window or it is hiding under her red scarf.
And on Earth 2 it looks like Power Girl is Supergirl and Huntress is …. Robin??????

SIGH
Where are her tits!? I know that sounds like a horrible thing to ask, but where are her curves! Her boob window and curves were part of her. She looks so damn generic like this. Fucking DC is like the same generic bodies with different heads on all the characters, male or female. It’s so damn boring.

Starfire- Red Hood and the Outlaws
You know, though I don’t know context and can’t see the whole frame, the one in the space-y style suit looks pretty neat actually. The others are silly, but that one actually looks neat.
