Preview of D&D 5th Edition!
I just meant being agile in in general, not in any specific system. I was thinking about that while writing it though.
For fun, maxing Acrobatics in Pathfinder, would be Acrobatics 20 with the skill as a class skill with the feat Skill Focus and some Boots of Elvenkind. We’ll say Dexterity 20 with all 5 points from leveling, +5 from a book, and +6 from a belt, adding up to a 36(+13). So, you’re looking at Acrobatics 47. Rolling dice, that’s anywhere from 49 (1 being a critical failure) a critical success with a huge 67.
ijusthaventearnit replied to your post: i’m having trouble with my new character, which is an Asamir. i cant seem to find any other picture other than the one that’s in the beastie book. any thoughts on this breed.
thanks, this helps some, like spelling the name right so the search actually nets results. thanks james!
No prob! Stop by again anytime!
For artwork, just google-image-searching for Aasimar will net you some images. They’re basically half-human, half-celestial and if you search for “half-celestial” you’ll get more images.
As for the race itself, they’re made for Divine classes like Clerics, Druids, Inquisitors, Oracles, Rangers, and even Paladins. That +2 Wisdom/+2 Charisma with no negatives is pretty huge, they’d even make good Sorcerers and Bards. Daylight once per day is a handy little utility, and they have Darkvision, so they’ll never have to worry about dank, dark spaces. The resistances are a nice boon. +2 Diplomacy is ok, but +2 Perception is really nice, as it’s the most used skill. All-in-all, they’re pretty good as races go.
While they don’t have a lot else for the moment, there is the Advanced Races book coming out this Summer-ish, which will have more content on the Bestiary races, though that’s a ways off.
Hope this helps! I’ll share more tips if you have more information about the character.
ijusthaventearnit replied to your photo: I’ll get to that drawing after reading this. The…
how much dough do you have tied up in PF
Something like $350-400 dollars. Every core book plus many of the other books. Not as much as, say, a subscriber would have, but a lot. And actually, there are two core books coming out this year, at least, along with the physical copy of Distant Worlds and I’m sure one or two more.
The fourth planet in the solar system is like Mars, including John Carter of Mars stuff and the Martians from War of the Worlds.
This book is WIN!
I’ll get to that drawing after reading this. The first part of the first chapter alone makes this book win.
Lol, there’s not much lower it could go.
Bad art and not indexes would probably do it though.
Maybe they could make all the art repeat art from previous books, instead of just some of the art.
Come on High Roll! Avoid an Argument!
Roflmao!!
In that situation, I usually have the low rolls pop up…unless the game is a lower is better, then the high rolls show up. My friend James (not me, I actually have a friend name James) has ridiculous luck with his rolls. When it doesn’t matter he’s all 20s, when it does matter, it’s pretty sad.
