So, I forgot to do this yesterday, so I’m doing it today.

Over the next year I have a few primary things I got to do. The first of which is get employed. I’ve talked about it for sometime now both on Tumblr and off Tumblr. I’ve been trying to find more consistent employment than just a few freelance jobs here-and-there, but it’s been rough, especially with the way the recession hit Michigan. I’ve applied to three entry level positions this week at some places in-and-out of the state, so we’ll see what happens.

Other than that, in May there’s the Motor City Comicon, which I may or may not go to. An art show I may be selling stuff at and Discovercon which I may get a table, these happening in June and July. August has the Chicago Comicon, which I may drive to with a friend of two depending on how things work out.

I can’t think of anything else. Things are pretty nebulous for me, in terms of the future.

So again, broad strokes. Since it’s only March, I’ve only got a few months of stuff to share.

January was a sad month, my grandpa died of cancer and we had his funeral mid-month. I started writing up a story for my characters, not a simple script or outline like I’ve had for years, but actually doing full-on writing. I’m alright at it, but not fantastic. I’ll probably post some of it later but I need to get it sounding correct to me, before I share it. Also, I have to proofread and edit it a bit.

February was much better. I taught someone the basics of Adobe Illustrator to someone. Along with a few small commissions. More story refinement was also don this month. But, not much else. If I were employed and had some cash, I’d probably do more things.

March was described yesterday.

Across all three months, I ramped up my internet uploading, especially here on Tumblr.

Ah geez, I can’t remember. More than a few days and my memory is shot and everything blends together. I don’t think I can go into huge detail, but I can get the broad strokes.

I had artwork in the alumni Illustration department show for CCS (College for Creative Studies) but today was the pickup for anything not sold. I wasn’t able to got and get the artwork back, so on Monday I gotta call the Illustration department chair and figure out what to do.

Ghosthunters and Mythbusters had new episodes starting this month, but I’ve missed almost all of them because I’ve become used to not watching TV and torrenting all my shows, so I’ve actually gotta go out and find the torrents for them to actually watch them.

Started the painting work in my grandpa’s old house. Four closets, three bedrooms, and now the living room are done. Next is the kitchen and the basement.

I only hung out with friends once this month, which is a little low, usually it’s two or three or even four times. My friends are scattered around Southeast Michigan, so it’s kinda hard to organize long hang out days. I think this week may be a hangout week.

Still no real job, but I’ve done a little freelance work for a couple people. I need more work or a part/full time graphic design or art or illustration related job. There are three I’m applying to with two right here in Mi.

So, from last Friday-to-now.

Last Friday was absolutely, fuckin’ brutal. I got sick with a head and throat cold, so my nose was runny and my throat was sore. I couldn’t talk, couldn’t breath really well, and because of a fever, I couldn’t really think. I went to bed really late, woke up really late, which set the pattern for the rest of the week. I can’t even remember what I did on Friday, I was so sick.

Saturday and Sunday were like Friday but to a lesser extent. I started to feel better those days. I started a NSFW tumblog to post more risque pics, which I filled with a few pics. I can’t remember much else from the weekend. It was pretty much being sick and drawing.

Monday is the day I helped paint my grandpa’s old house. He passed away earlier this year and we’re fixing the house up for sale. So, between my, my mom, and my dad, we painted the three bedrooms over the course of like four hours. That was Monday, pretty much.

Tuesday was uneventful, except for making a fuckton of stir fry, which became dinner that night and the next.

Wednesday was also uneventful.

Thursday, well, I covered that yesterday with the “You day, in great detail” so that’s covered.

Today…

Everyday, I draw. So, I didn’t list it on any specific day. I post lots of what I draw, but not all of it. I have a giant stack of paper on my desk, which contains all of my artwork, that I’ve kept over the year.

That’s it, my week. Hurrahhhhh.

So, from Friday-to-Friday…

Last Friday was totally brutal. I got sick with a head-and-throat cold which put me completely out-of-commission. My throat was on fire all day, I had trouble breathing through my nose, and a fever basically made my memory crap. So, all I can remember is having trouble falling asleep and trouble eating.

Saturday and Sunday were less brutal than Friday but I was still sick. I didn’t do anything over the weekend except sniffle and draw, while drinking lots of fruit juice with lots of Vitamin-C.

Monday was much better, I was almost fully recovered. I helped my parents paint my grandpa’s old house. He passed away earlier this year and they’re prepping it for sale. So, I’m did lots of the painting and we painted the three bedrooms in about four-and-a-half hours.

Tuesday, the fan on my computer’s power supply started to get loud. So, now there’s a buzzing that cycles between whisper quiet and really loud. So long as the fan works and keeps the PSU cool, I can live with it for a while. Also, Tuesday was the day I started consolidating a lot of my story designs and ideas into a wiki for easy navigation and viewing.

Wednesday, hmmm, nothing happened Wednesday.

Thursday was covered in detail yesterday.

Today, pretty normal. I’ll probably draw a lot today after posting this. I’ve got a list of things to work on so it’s not like I’ve got nothing to do. I just have to find the drive to do it.

Across the whole week I drew stuff. That’s something I do everyday without fail, so I didn’t cover on each individual day. Also, this was the week when the Health Care Bill passed, which was pretty nice. Definitely a highlight of the week.

Tomorrow is March, in great detail.

Well, today happened to be a boring, simple day. I woke up at 11 am and laid in bed for like an hour, hour-and-a-half. I was sick over the weekend, so for the past couple of days I’ve just been lazy in the morning. I showered then made some oatmeal for breakfast/lunch. I took a packet of Apples and Cinnamon and mixed it with a packet of Cinnamon and Spice. I think tomorrow with be a mixture of Apples and Cinnamon with the Maple one.

So, then I checked my usual sites on the internet: my two emails (Gmail and Yahoo), RSS in Google Reader, Plurk, Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, GameFAQs, 4gifs, and Digg. Caught up on the activity of the world, I realized that queue at http://motivationalposters.tumblr.com/ was dry, so I added some 40 things to it.

Now, I’ll probably make some dinner. I’m thinking of making sandwiches, probably hard salami and pepperoni with some swiss and provolone, lettuce, and Wishbone Italian Dressing. I may make some french fries as a side or go buy some potato chips. For cold sandwiches, normal chips with light salt would be best. Krunchers Jalapeno are my favorite though.

After dinner, I’m going to draw a whole lot. I’ve got a small stack of drawings read to scan, along with whatever I draw tonight. I’ve also gotta call some people about work and check some classifieds like Craigslist and Gamasutra and stuff. There’s actually a job entry on Gamasutra right now that may be perfect for me.

Around 2 am, I tend to start to sag. I usually read a book before bed, reading for about an hour. I’m through chapter 1 of Green Mars by Kim Stanley Robinson, so that’s what I’l read tonight. I always read, it keeps my creative juices flowing and if I don’t read, I usually end up losing my creative ability. It’s kind of weird, but I’ve always found I have more/better ideas when I read.

Day 23 — A YouTube video

Part 1 of 7 of one of my all time favorite youtube videos. Red Letter Media’s 70 minute Star Wars: The Phantom Menace review. It’s both hilarious and insightful! I highly recommend watching it all!

I’m gonna take the easy what out on this one: Here’s a link to 4chan. It’s where I get all my weird /tg/ related pics and where I get all my info of RPGs. I, however, avoid some boards, namely /v/, the video game board. It’s filled with trolls who troll trolls and you can never talk about any video game info without it degenerating into a console wars argument.

/tg/, traditional games, (sup plane/tg/uardians and fa/tg/uys and ca/tg/irls!) is great though, as is /po/, the papercrafting board. /wg/ is the wallpaper board, /a/ for anime, /co/ for comics and cartoons (also great), and then there’s /b/.

If you ever want to know the origin of almost every meme on the internet, it’s /b/. That board and it’s /b/tards are probably responsible for the status of the internet as it exists today.

Also, porn flows through the 4chan as well. /h/ (Hentai), /s/ (Softcore girls), /d/ (Alternative, aka gross/insane hentai), /y/ (gay hentai), and somewhat /b/ contains lots of porn.

I can’t think of anything that website doesn’t cater to. And, if you can think of something, then go post it in /b/!
