Babylon 5 is the greatest sci-fi show ever made, possibly the greatest TV show ever made.

There’s so much I love about Babylon 5, I could probably write a 1000+ page book on it devoting a chapter to every episode. There’s just so much that’s good about it, even when it’s bad! (Season 2 has some eye rolling parts in some episodes, then there’s an episode in season 3 that’s like half a good episode. Other than that it’s great, and even great things can have flaws.)

The characters are great, the stories are great, given the budgets the make-up is great (and though seriously dated, the effects to considering the technology of the time), and the arc of the series is great.

Hell, this is the only time I’ve ever cried over a fictional character and I didn’t even cry at relative’s funerals. (For the record, it’s the episode where Londo is crowned emperor and walks alone down the street. I lost it during the montage showing his character’s development over the show and it didn’t stop until the scene was over. Even now I’m getting misty eyed over it and it’s hard to type.)

Firefly and nuBattlestar Galactica wish they were Babylon 5! They’re tinker toys compared to a human nervous system! This may sound crazy, but I think B5 is better than Star Trek or Doctor Who, and those two shows are great as well!

And, I liked Sinclair more than Sheridan, though Sheridan is still awesome. Totally following fuck yeah Sinclair!
