Original Dungeons and Dragons (OD&D) is weird!
I’m reading through it and thinking, “damn this is all so simple and so weird!” It’s a little confusing too. I think that’s just because of the tie-ins to that other game it was partially based on and the fact it’s FIRST edition is the Firsty-y-est way. I do like that Elves are warrior-mages by default and Dwarves are warrior-thieves by default.
