August 2011
Nothing major other than some comedy happening.
However, my friend asked about writing some Pathfinder Archetype combos and what makes some Archetypes good and others tricky or just bad. So, tonight, I’m going to write something like that up.

But, it’s bed time now.
Now it’s time to see how fast I can get this 802.11-N connection going.

…Wow, really, who are they kidding? These guys need to get themselves checked first. I doubt they even succeeded with that kind of attitude. *must resist not to punch demeaning jackass clients’ faces* Thank you very much for your time, good sir!
One of the reasons I haven’t been on Craig’s List for job hunting in a few months has been the very phrases I mentioned.
And, the successful (or mostly successful or even semi-successful) ones tend to pay their people for quality work.
venturing into a kobold village to extract some vengeance
I usually don’t say stuff like this…but that is probably the gayest Kobold I’ve ever seen.
I mean, his pose is just screams like, in a lispy voice, “I want a cosmooooo”.
I’ll never get tired of the phrases:
“This will be great for your portfolio!”
And:
“This will be a great opportunity for you to gain experience!”
They appear in lots of job offerings because some people are too cheap to actually pay an artist for work. They think they’re better than the artist they want to hire and they think they can take advantage of someone to save a buck because the person they want to hire is new to the industry. They don’t care about the person or people they hire, they just want to make as money as possible.
The other old chestnut is, “this is going to be big! It’s going to be the best (whatever it is) and no one has seen something like this before.”
Someone that thinks they’re the next Facebook or Twitter wants a logo or design or something, usually for cheap, if not free. But, it’s not just small companies thinking they’re hot shit, I’ve worked on a children’s book where the person said, and I’m not kidding, this:
“This book is going to be the next Harry Potter! It’s going to have toys, movies, and a tv show. It’s going to be all over the news, it’s going to make Oprah!”
All I did was stare silently and nod, trying to find a way out of the relationship.
Isn’t it though!
Unfortunately, it gets in the way…and gets every where…the area near my brush…yeesh.
It’s fun to draw. I may do some hair stuff in the near future since I like drawing it.
