ah, thank you :] now the question is what software? haha, I hope to purchase it before my 20th birthday (which is in september) so I have some time
Well, if you’ve got money to burn, full-on Photoshop. If you don’t then Photoshop Elements is a pretty good alternative, as it’s the basics of Photoshop. Other good programs are Artrage and Corel Painter. Artrage is pretty cheap and has some neat features, Corel Painter is a little hard to use, but it’s got some neat stuff, though it’s pricey as well. Also, I hear Paint.net is actually nice, though I haven’t played with it.

Stop Eating Fat People (: Lmao
Stop eating fat people?
SORRY. I CAN’T CONTROL MY CANNIBALISTIC HABITS.

No, it’s you Skinny People that need to go on diets. You’re too damn thin and when I see your ribs pokin’ out when you’re idling, it just makes me think about eating ribs.

Tablets are great, but there is an adjustment period where you have to get used to looking at a monitor while your hand is out of view. After a while, you get used to it. Bamboos are specifically for the non-serious artist-type.
Intuos are for more-serious artists. Cintiqs are for artist’s with money, as they’re extremely nice, but expensive.
I wish I had the spare thousand for a Cintiq, but I don’t.
…so you know, FML.
It randomly acts jittery and occasionally the cursor would leap up higher on the screen than where I was pointing.
I need to test it with a new nib in the pen, which of course I can’t find, but if that isn’t the problem, then it’s yet another unforeseen computer cost may be coming my way.
